A number of picturesque rivers teeming with a variety of fish, peaceful scenic locations, and locals well versed in the craft, all add up to reinforce this reputation. Fishing season is almost any time when the ice gives way in early May to October when it begins to freeze once more.

There are certain regulations to monitor this pleasant activity. You need a license to fish if you’re over 16 years of age, and you’re required to have it handy when fishing in case you’re asked by authorized personnel. If under 16 you may fish without a license but must be accompanied by some one who does have a license. You would need a special license to fish in classified waters. Guide to Sea Kayaking in Vietnam

This is the first sea kayaking trip in Asia. Begin in Ha Long city and spend seven days paddling through the emerald-blue water of the Ha Long Bay World Heritage site. Thousands of islands dot the seascape while millions of brightly colored fish swirl through the water below you. You can spend hours exploring the caves and grottoes sprinkled through the larger islands and marvel at the formations of the smaller ones.
