Land, air and water sports are highly popular in Wales and loved by a large number of organizations including private clubs and local groups as well as larger facilitators. These groups can help you in the pursuit of outdoor activities, with tailor-made trips to suit your needs.

There are many great Outdoor Activities in Wales can be explored. You can try Gorge Walking, Kayaking ,Surfing, Castaway Days, Raft building, Mountain Trekking, Rock Climbing and Abseiling.

Travel companies specializing in holidays based around outdoor and adventure sports are generally found, getting it easy for complete novices to try their hand at something new or for those already initiated to appreciate an entire vacation dedicated to their favorite pastime. My personal suggestion is ; You should find an event organizer that offers you safety and comfy. Ask them are they licensed and accredited Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), If so, then you will feel safe as they are very professional

If your tastes run to water sports, you will enjoy the over 700 miles of coastline. Surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, even diving-you will get it all in Wales. In fact, Wales has much coastline, they are created their very own sport to explore it. It’s called Coasteering, and involves a combination of climbing, cliff jumping, and swimming.

Summer is coming, and this the right time to plan for those outdoor adventure. If you ever try in other places, then you should try in Wales as you will feel different enjoyable there. Well, see you there!!

Ready to climb up Kilimanjaro and enjoy your experience on the mountain it is worth making the effort to prepare yourself to a reasonable level of fitness. No amount of preparation will make it a certainty that you will make it to the top, but you will have a better chance and find the climb more rewarding if you are physically prepared.

Kilimanjaro isn’t a technical climb – you don’t need to learn to use ropes or to rock climb.

You don’t have to have a six-pac or perfect figure to climb Kilimanjaro in fact a few pounds of extra insulation helps with the extreme cold and energy demand placed upon the body whilst on the mountain.

Buy yourself a good pare of hiking boots, preferably a few months before you climb Kilimanjaro and walk them in. If you buy your boots just before get them soaking wet and walk around in them – wear them to work etc. We recommend a pair of stout leather boots over Gortex as they can rip.

In terms of physical preparation if possible walk in mountains or hills with steep gradients. Failing that go to the gym and use the step machine, take the stairs rather than the lift etc. Many people find the decent harder than the ascent so practice walking down as wel1!

If you do smoke Climbing Kilimanjaro is a very good incentive to quit – smokers can make it but they have a harder time on the mountain

In climbing Kilimanjaro, there a few simple steps to follow to give yourself the best chance to stand at Uruhu peek.

1) Select a climbing route that best suits your ability and fitness level. Consult your tour company about which route is best for you.

2) Add acclimatization days to the itinerary. Taking an extra day increases your chances of getting to the top by up to 30%.

3) The phrase ‘Climb high, sleep low’ is well worth sticking to where possible – climb to a higher altitude during the day, then sleep lower at night. This helps a lot with acclimatization.

4) Plan your climb so there is the best chance of nice weather. Bad weather conditions makes any climb much more harder. Hiking through rain and snow with no visibility is stressful and demoralizing.

5) Book a private trip not a large shared trip. Private trips mean more individual attention and an itinerary based on your abilities. Your guide will do everything he can to help you summit, including adjustments in pace, rest stops and camps, while you have few other climbers else to contend with.

6) Train for your climb. By training properly for your climb, your body is less likely to struggle with the demands of the mountain being placed on your legs, and only has to focus on acclimatization.

7) Ascend gradually. The body needs time to acclimate to the altitude. The slower you ascend, the better.

Eat lots of food and drink loads of water while on your climb. It is recommended that you should drink four to five liters of fluid per day. Also, you need to eat a high calorie diet while at altitude, even if your appetite is diminished – force yourself to eat – food is fuel!

9) Try to avoid tobacco, alcohol and other depressant drugs. These can decrease the respiratory drive during sleep resulting in acute altitude sickness.

10) Think about using Diamox for acclimatization – ask your doctor about it

Canada enjoys a not undeserved reputation as a world class fishing destination. A number of picturesque rivers teeming with a variety of fish, peaceful scenic locations, and locals well versed in the craft, all add up to reinforce this reputation. Fishing season is almost any time when the ice gives way in early May to October when it begins to freeze once more.

There are certain regulations to monitor this pleasant activity. You need a license to fish if you’re over 16 years of age, and you’re required to have it handy when fishing in case you’re asked by authorized personnel. If under 16 you may fish without a license but must be accompanied by some one who does have a license. You would need a special license to fish in classified waters. This is in addition to the basic license you may already have.

There is more than one way to enjoy a fishing trip in Canada. Fly-in fishing is where you’re flown to remote fishing outposts by aircraft accompanied by fishing tour experts. There will be cabin accommodation, basic facilities, scenic vistas, and plenty of fish waiting to bite. Then again there’s the old fashioned way of taking a boat out to where the fish are. There are fishing resorts that take care of accommodation, boat trips, equipment, and the services of experienced fishing guide so you get the best out of your Canadian fishing trip.

Lake Erie is where the bass is. It’s also known for the rainbow trout, steelhead and walleye. Whether you go at them with tube jigs, minnows, or spoons, you’re bound to strike lucky. One of the largest freshwater lakes in the world, Lake Erie is a popular fishing trip destination with plenty of cabins, lodges, and other facilities available.
Lake Huron is the third largest freshwater lake in the world and is known for the salmon, walleye, trout, and steelhead. About 30,000 islands lie scattered around offering plenty of shorelines with great fishing trip destinations.

British Columbia is a popular fishing trip destination in Canada. Whether saltwater or fresh water, there’s a wealth of fishing available here what with the rainbow trout, the salmon, the sturgeon, walleye, and the steelhead willing to give you a run for your money. From remote inland lakes to the mighty Fraser River and the Pacific, BC offers a variety of fishing experiences to be savoured.

Quebec is often called the angler’s paradise, and with good reason too. There are thousands of lakes and rivers swarming with Atlantic salmon, pike, perch, trout, and plenty more varieties of fish than you can imagine. Once you’ve decided to go fishing in Quebec, your job is done, for you’ll find everything from suitable accommodation to boats and expert guides once you get there.

Ontario will entice the fishing enthusiast on a fishing trip in Canada with about 400,000 lakes and rivers in addition to the largest inland sea and all conveniences that lets you fish to your hearts content. Whether you prefer the ruggedness of a cabin or the luxury of a resort, you will not be disappointed for it’s all there.
